🔎 Where to Find Videos to Upload SOP
Where to Find Videos to Upload SOP
1. Channel Navigation (Discord Workspace)
  • Categories:
  • Glider Guy: All main channel content
  • Glider Guy Live: Stream and live content
  • Glider Studios: Studio/animated content
  • Munk: Alternate/secondary channel
Channel Organization
  • Channels for Each Category:
  • [Channel]-design (e.g., gg-design, gstudios-design, munk-design):
  • All thumbnail and visual assets
  • Find the finalized thumbnail for each upload here.
  • Download directly (usually just a single image).
  • [Channel]-edits (e.g., gg-edits, gstudios-edits, munk-edits):
  • All video edits and final video files
  • If tagged "ready for upload" by Vinchi or another lead, it's good to go.
  • If not tagged, check the latest posts/threads for status and any upload notes.
2. Tagging System
  • If a post or thread is tagged "ready for upload," you can proceed—these are pre-approved.
  • If there's no tag:
  • Double-check by opening the individual thread for context or WIP notes.
  • Only upload if you're sure it's final; if unsure, ask in-thread or DM Vinchi.
3. Downloading Assets
A. Designs (Thumbnails/Visuals)
  • Navigate to the relevant -design channel/thread.
  • Download the final image directly from Discord (right-click > Save, or use download button).
  • Double-check resolution: 1280x720 minimum.
B. Edits (Final Video Files)
  • Go to the appropriate -edits channel/thread.
  • All final video files are hosted on Frame.io.
  • Look for the latest Frame.io link or pinned message.
  • Click through to Frame.io; log in if prompted.
  • Download the video in the Highest Quality setting available (always select the top export option, never preview/lower res).
4. Quality & File Check
  • Designs:
  • Confirm image isn't corrupted and matches the video title/content.
  • Videos:
  • Check duration and file size to ensure full download.
  • Preview the video (skim start, middle, and end) to verify integrity before uploading.
5. If Anything is Missing
  • Design missing:
  • Ping in -design channel or DM Vinchi/Mikomics.
  • Video edit missing or unclear:
  • Ping in -edits channel, check with the editor, or DM Vinchi.
6. Special Cases
  • Alternate or multiple versions:
  • Only upload the one marked "FINAL" or "ready for upload."
  • Last-minute changes:
  • Watch for updated tags or replacement files (don't use outdated versions).

Spotify Upload Details
D. Episode Art / Thumbnail
  1. Always use the thumbnail specific for the episode
  1. When uploading:
  • Adjust the zoom to 2 clicks from fully zoomed out and swipe to show left panel
  • Crop and size so the logo fits the frame as much as possible.
  • Double-check the preview—art should be clearly visible and not cut off.
E. Monetization/Ad Breaks
  1. Go to the Monetize tab.
  1. Click 'Use Smart Breaks'—this automatically puts ads before and after the episode.
  1. By default, you will see 2 ads:
  • Pre-roll: 1
  • Post-roll: 1
Spotify Ad Configuration
  1. Edit each ad break:
  • Set Pre-roll count to 3.
  • Set Post-roll count to 5.
  • There should be 8 ads total so far.
  1. Wait for the timeline to appear with audio (can take a minute).
  1. Add 5 evenly placed midroll ad breaks along the timeline.
  • Each midroll break: set to 4 ads.
  • In total: 5 x 4 = 20 midroll ads.
Spotify Ad Configuration (continued)
  1. Total ads at this point:
  • Pre-roll: 3
  • Post-roll: 5
  • Midroll: 20
  • Grand total: 28 ads
  1. For each midroll ad:
  • Place as evenly as possible.
  • Adjust the first ad's placement:
  • If placed too early, it will say "pre-roll";
  • Find a spot just after the intro where it says "mid-roll"—that's where your first midroll set should go.
F. Confirm & Finalize
  1. Double-check that all ad breaks are set (total 28).
  1. Return to the details page.
  • If the thumbnail glitches, delete and re-upload it. (This is a known Spotify bug.)
  1. Schedule the episode for 8:15 PM Philippines Time (3:00 PM Kuwait Time).
  1. Verify the status shows as "Scheduled."
G. Post-Publish
  • Confirm episode appears in the Spotify dashboard and on the public channel.
  • Double-check that ads are inserted as planned.
  • Check analytics after release.
